Veterans Collection
May 1st - June 2nd

Join us in supporting our heroes through a collection for the homeless Veterans. The Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee supports the homeless Veterans through the Housing and Urban Development-Veteran Affairs Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH). This program supports the long-term housing needs of the Veterans who are homeless, along with their family members. Veterans receive a HUD Housing Voucher and long-term care coordination from VA HUD-VASH Care Coordinators.

Help us collect essential items for the apartments they move into, remembering that they are starting out with nothing. With your help, we can start them out with the essentials needed like laundry products, cleaning products, sheets and pillows.

Please see the attached list of items you can purchase, NEW ITEMS ONLY, and fill the bins located in the Narthex from May 1st to June 2nd. Lists of items are also available on the table in the Narthex. If you are not a shopper, monetary donations are also accepted and we will do the shopping for you! Checks can be made out to Atonement Lutheran Church, with “Veterans Collection” in the memo line, or give online (fund: special gift, put "Veterans" in memo).

Thank you for your willingness to support this much needed cause for the men and women who have given so much for our country and us. Look for the table and the bins starting May 1st.
