Obituary

Elaine Loretta Verburgt

Gone to be with the Lord and reunited with her husband and sons on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at the age of 88.

Elaine was born on October 18, 1935 to her parents, Steven and Mary (Chruszch) Namynuik on a farm in North Dakota. Beloved wife of the late Jack C. Verburgt. Loving mother of Jeff (Debora Paulson), the late John (Debbie Salentine) and the late Jack (Toni Harding). Further survived by her seven grandchildren, Rhiannon (Jason) Blawat, Janice Verburgt, Kimberly (Chris) Villarreal, Loreen (Derek) Fournier, Derek, Jeffery and Kathleen Verburgt, as well as her eight great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Mary Jane (Doug) Ehrmantraut and the late Armilla "Jackie" (Dean “Corky”) Dresback (Charles) Gallery.

Elaine graduated from college after studying business. Over the years she worked a variety of different jobs at the US Bank Building, Gimbels, Schaumberg’s Suburban House and as a waitress at the Aud-Mar Supper Club with her dear friend Dorothy Sorensen. She had a love for antiques and her 138 year old Victorian farmhouse was beautifully decorated with them. Elaine served as a manager of an antique store called House of Treasures, and eventually started an antique business with her dear friend, Marlene Foelker, called Elmar.

Her most rewarding job was that of a housewife and mother. She was such a nice, beautiful, sweet, classy lady who loved her family very much.

Elaine was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and Atonement Lutheran Church in Muskego. Her faith-filled spirit guided her through life’s challenges and triumphs while serving as a true blessing to those who knew her. We can celebrate a life beautifully lived and a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to inspire us all.
