Obituary
Robert "Bob" Ryder, age 92, of New Berlin, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026. Born on May 4, 1933, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Bob lived a full and joyful life grounded in family, friendship, service, and song.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elaine Ryder; his parents, Robert F. Ryder and Ethel (George) Ehrlich (née Ryder); his parents-in-law, Elroy and Esther Sellin; and his cherished dog, Muffy.
Bob is lovingly remembered by his children Mark (Kay) Ryder and Cheryl (Robert Kauke) Ryder; his grandsons Conner (Amber) Ryder and Sean Ryder; and many dear friends who were like family to him.
A proud graduate of Washington High School's Class of 1951 and the General Motors Institute, Bob built a successful career as a manufacturing engineer. Beyond his work, Bob's life was rich with passion and purpose. He was an avid golfer, a talented singer and performer, and an enthusiastic teller of jokes who brought smiles wherever he went.
Bob sang with the Milwaukee Men's Chorus and was a devoted member of several Masonic organizations. He gave generously of his time as a volunteer for the Ronald McDonald House and served his community through the New Berlin Park and Recreation Commission. His faith guided him as an active member of Atonement Lutheran Church and the Eckankar Association.
Bob will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and unwavering love for his family and community. His joyful spirit will continue to inspire all who knew him.
